Aktana uses learning to lead AI for the life sciences industry.
SUCCESS STORY
As Aktana grew and continued to roll out complex and innovative products, their employees needed to continuously refine their knowledge of AI and trends within the life sciences industry. LinkedIn Learning Hub helped them get new hires up to speed, expand their current employees’ skill sets, and lessen the burden on their training teams. Aktana created campaigns and custom learning paths and learning collections, including content for their Leading People program and content to help enable lateral as well as upward career progression. This gave employees the relevant information they needed to keep growing and lead the industry.
THE CHALLENGE
Steep learning curve and a need to keep refining industry and AI knowledge
Aktana had many new hires who brought their own expertise to the company but still needed to learn Aktana’s products and value proposition. “These employees needed to be trained on large amounts of complicated material quickly, but the company didn’t have sufficient training resources and didn’t want to overburden current employees,” said Victoria Fozard, director of training and enablement. “We also had no learning management system and no way to create our own learning content.” Fozard wanted a way for employees to develop relevant skills and have opportunities for career progression and growth.
THE SOLUTION
Tailored, unique content and skills-based learning
Aktana found an all-in-one solution with LinkedIn Learning Hub. They used campaigns to bring employees’ attention to key learning priorities, like product launches and pivot tables in spreadsheets, recommending relevant content to specific learners. They also used a video plugin to increase engagement. They created custom learning paths and learning collections to quickly train employees on new product releases and the ever-evolving industry — giving employees the unique, varied skill sets they needed. This included content for their Leading People program and paths for making lateral moves across departments, which helped with employee retention. By embracing a culture of continuous learning, Aktana stayed ahead of the competition and maintained their leadership position in the industry.
