BAI Communications stays competitive with a companywide learning culture.
SUCCESS STORY
BAI is a global leader in an industry that’s rapidly and constantly changing. To keep up with evolving technologies, they need their employees to continue evolving their skills. LinkedIn Learning Hub gave them a better learning experience and a single destination for all their learning content by integrating their learning management system (LMS) into Learning Hub. According to Raelee Hobson, group director of organization development, this established the critical foundations BAI needed to start building a universal culture of learning.
THE CHALLENGE
Multiple learning systems and a
limited user experience
BAI employees needed to keep up to date with the dynamic, constantly changing technology industry. It was critical for them to be able to easily access learning resources and acquire new skills. But their LMS didn’t have an intuitive search functionality, nor did it personalize the employee learning experience. Instead, employee training was prescriptive. BAI wanted an easy-to-use, well-integrated, universal platform that could be a single source of learning and encourage ongoing employee development.
THE SOLUTION
A single destination for skill development
By launching LinkedIn Learning Hub, BAI gave their employees a better learning platform to ensure they keep developing the right skills and continue becoming experts in their industry. To increase activation rates, they created a monthly learning lottery and found employees had an appetite for content. They also increased learner engagement with personalized and relevant content related to employees’ backgrounds, interests, and roles. As a result, BAI developed the critical foundations for a companywide learning culture. This has been instrumental in helping them attract new hires, engage and retain employees, as well as build capabilities to further the growth of the business.

THE RESULTS
Learner engagement
LinkedIn Learning Hub gave employees a more personalized learning experience with recommendations based on their backgrounds, interests, and roles. This led to greater learner engagement overall.
Self-directed learning
By connecting learning to career outcomes and development, BAI increased their employees’ skills and expertise and fostered a culture of learning — one where employees took control of their growth.
Increased activation rate
In the first six months since launching LinkedIn Learning Hub, BAI created a monthly learning lottery that helped exceed their targeted activation rate by 25%, with a total of 85% of employees activating the company license.
“In the current environment, you need everyone to be engaged in development and continually upskilling. Easy access to individualized learning is the minimum to start a learning culture. Employees need to know they’re making the most of their time and building capabilities that make a difference to them and the business.”
